Character Creation and Advancement
PC’s will start playing halfway through first level with 170 points. I will require playersto note where the characterends and the playerbegins. any enhanced stats should take the appropriate attributes. Similarly any skill should be noted as real life or for the game. all items will be assumed to be virtual. Likewise, the ‘environmental’ restriction may not be used for ‘in virtual space,’ or ‘in area x’. as level one players, any points spent ‘in game’ should be items or skills. To start, items should be things out of the BESM core rules book, but i may accept things from the Lock and Load supplement.
Character points are awarded at the end of a quest in two forms. Normal character points can be used on mostly anything, and item points which lets characters keep found items, buy items, or ask the appropriate person to upgrade or make items. There is a wealth system in the game, however due to BESM’s abstract nature, leaving it out from the table won’t hinder or enable the PC’s. PC’s can assume they have enough pocket change for small things, but more costly or exquisite things may require points in item or ranks in organizational ties. each quest will be rewarded separate values for each pool. Depending on the quest, some may not have item points.
As you gain character points, they can only be spent in 10 point blocks; item Points can be spent anywhere applicable. Also, in the BESM book about character guidelines in relation to points being spent.. i haven’t quite worked out exact numbers but its coming.
